Artist's Description
This "Celtic Cross in Savannah" was a gift from Ireland to the people of Irish heritage in Savannah, Georgia. It is said, that city was built by the Irish. St Patrick's Day is celebrated in a big way in this wonderful southern town, with a grand parade and procession after mass to the cross at Emmet Park. Each year the mayor and priest of the local Catholic church lay a wreath at the cross.
